Fanie La Grange was an iconic South African Knifemaker who started in his workshop in Orkney and then moved to Cape Town in the 1990's where he and Neels Roos founded the Knifemakers' Guild Of Cape Town and had a substantial influence on local Cape designers and knifemakers. Passed away in 2012, still recognized nationally and internationally for the quality materials he sourced and incredible design details, developed the front flipper in front of the bolster in the 1990's - known as the lip opener.
