Pietermaritzburg-based Lourens Prinsloo, is one of South Africa's foremost knifemakers, specializing in gentleman's folding knives, especially precision liner locks, crafted in variety of steels including his own signature mosaic damascus.

Lourens has been making knives for over 17 years and his knives have gained a world-wide reputation. He regularly attends the New York Custom Knife Show in New York to display and sell his work, as well as our local Durban Easter Knife Show, and Johannesburg Knifemaker's Guild Show.

Skilled in Florida, USA by Cliff Parker, the Master Mosaic pattern designer, Lourens has become a legend South African for Mosaic Damascus and winner of numerous awards over the years at Guild shows (Best Gentleman's Folder, Best Art Folder, Points of Interest and Finest Own Damascus).
