In a world where strength was the law, Barbarian Swords were robust and powerful, a symbol of authority and respect.

Slavic, German, and Frank origin tribes from the third century to the eighth century, were called 'Barbarians', due to their uncivilised customs, they devastated the land of Europe, conquering even Rome. This group of tribes ruled in a fragmented way, and lacked a strong political organization in Europe until the beginning of Charlemagne's empire.

The Barbarian sword, bronze finished with a fuller blood groove on each side, depicts a winged two-headed dragon.

Marto was founded in 1961 in the old district of Toledo and certifies all swords are designed, developed and manufactured in Toledo-Spain by it's skilled and recognised artists, craftsmen and sword masters that join traditional handicraft with the most modern techniques and manufacture the finest decorative swords available in the world today.
