Saint George lived in 3rd and 4th century, half legendary and half historical, renowned for his sword Ascona, for slaying dragons. Elegant craftsmanship with exquisite detail, a tempered, mirror polished, safe-edged, 440C Stainless Steel blade 34 1/2", with low maintenance, featuring a finely decorative etched blade in black. The etching features a Rampant Lion Crest of St. George, a winged dragon, Maltese Crusader Cross, sword shield and cross, all surrounded in ivy and scroll work designs. The hilt displays antiqued Zamak silver, dragons and dragon skin with flora leaf detailing, the quillon ends and pommel form a three dimensional tri-leaf sculpture. The luxurious blue velvet grip is tightly wrapped in silver wire. The sword blade is stamped with Marto Toledo Seals of authenticity, ideal for a collector.
