'Matt started making knives at the beginning of 2012, it all started with the sad passing of a friend's father 'Boekoe'. Sean and his brother Jaques decided that they would keep 'Boekoe Knives' going, and through this Matt's exposure to knives began. Matt had no equipment or machines, so the googling began and after much research he built his own grinding machines. The flame was lit and inspiration burned brightly, as he found his own style and now continues to try and outdo himself with each new knife.'
